Current Events - This Week's News

For this week I will talk about Auckland's worst drought in history. This is a photo of showing the lack of water in one of the water dams. It is almost dried up and when it rains it has only filled up forty per cent. So Auckland needs rain but it's not happening!
The weather is just not right at the moment.

It is the worst drought on record for Auckland and a big worry because Auckland needs 400 million litres of water a day!

Rules have been breached 459 times in ten days by people washing cars and water blasting their driveways.

Identity Poem

Here is a poem about me. My poem is about what I like to do and the games I like. It says what I'm afraid of and what I would like to see.

What's in the news this week?

This week, the kea have been in the news because six dead kea birds probably died from 1080.
A Massey University post-mortem has found six kea in the Matukituki Valley of the Aspiring National Park which ''are likely'' to have died from 1080 toxin.
The birds were among the 12 kea  monitored by the Kea Conservation Trust after the Department of Conservation's aerial 1080  predator control operation on February 11.
I got my info from nzherald.co.nz.

I think it is sad that 1080 is killing our native birds.  What do you think?
